Wearable Technology and Health

Health is the state of total physical and mental well-being. It includes a person's social, psychological, and spiritual well-being. A person's state of health is determined by his or her environment and his or her activities. Achieving and maintaining good health can help an individual improve and maintain his or her quality of life. The right to health is a fundamental human right that is based on the principles of equality, and justice.

According to the World Health Organization, "Health is a state of complete physical and mental well-being, free from disease or infirmity." The WHO constitution defines health as a state of full physical, social, and mental well-being. It is the most important resource for everyday living. In general, a person's health is defined by how well they feel and can cope with a variety of situations. It is also a reflection of their personal and social well-being.

Wearable technology is also becoming more mainstream. Companies such as Holition have created garments that change color when exposed to pollutants. A sensor inside the garment detects the change and sends the data to the cloud. They have tested this garment in Paris and hope to roll out a larger version of the technology in the near future. Adidas and Nike have both been exploring ways to embed sensors in their clothing so that they can track and analyze health information. Another company, Hexoskin, developed socks that count calories and track heart rate.
